EWMA, CohnReznick offer estate planning and environmental risk seminar

Environmental consulting and remediation firm EWMA and CohnReznick, a national advisory and accounting services firm, will host a complimentary seminar on estate planning and the environment on Dec. 5. “Estate Planning: Is Your Property At Environmental Risk?” will feature a panel discussion lead by CohnReznick Principal and Trusts and Estates National Practice Co-leader Joy Matak and EWMA President Donald Richardson at CohnReznick’s Roseland office. Beginning at 7:30 a.m., the event will include breakfast with the discussion scheduled to take place from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. According to the organizers, the seminar will explore ways to mitigate environmental liability during the estate planning process, how to minimize tax burdens, ways to limit environmental cleanup costs, how to protect businesses for the next generation, and more. Matak has more than 20 years of experience in wealth strategy, EWMA and CohnReznick said, and an established speaker and author, whose work has appeared in Hudson Valley Business Journal, Tax Management Estates, Gifts and Trusts Journal, among others. Richardson has worked in environmental consulting and contracting for more than 25 years, EWMA and CohnReznick said, and a frequent speaker on the topic of the integration of innovative cleanup strategies to meet regulatory closer and project business objectives.
