Health Insurance Marketplace enrollment starts Nov. 1

Open Enrollment for the 2027 Health Insurance Marketplace in Oklahoma begins Nov. 1, 2026. During this period, Oklahoma residents can enroll in, re-enroll in or change Affordable Care Act (ACA) health plans through the federal Marketplace at HealthCare.gov.
Oklahoma will remain on the federal exchange for plan year 2027. The transition to Oklahoma's new state-based exchange will begin in 2028.
Key dates; 5 insurers
Nov. 1: Open Enrollment begins. Starting Nov. 1, you can explore the various health insurance options available through the Marketplace in Oklahoma. This is the opportunity to find a plan that suits your needs and budget.
Dec. 15: Deadline for coverage starting Jan. 1, 2027. To ensure your health coverage begins on Jan. 1, 2027, enroll or make any plan changes by Dec. 15, 2026, to avoid a coverage gap.
Five insurers will offer individual Marketplace plans in Oklahoma:
Ambetter of Oklahoma (Celtic Insurance Company)
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma (statewide)
CommunityCare Oklahoma
Oscar Health
UnitedHealthcare
Availability varies by county, with Blue Cross Blue Shield providing statewide options.

Renaissance
"Oklahomans should review their family's health needs to secure the best possible coverage for 2027," state Insurance Commissioner Glen Mulready said. "Visit HealthCare.gov as early as possible to compare plans and find the right fit."
