BRIEF: President Trump tweets about Southern California wildfires
Daily News (Los Angeles, CA)
Dec. 06--President Donald Trump took to Twitter early Wednesday to say, "Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the path of California's wildfires."
He was re-tweeting a tweet from the Federal Emergency Management Agency that said it has approved Fire Management Assistance Grants for the Thomas fire in Ventura, the Creek fire above Sylmar, and the Rye fire in the Santa Clarita area to help cover the costs associated with fighting the massive wildfires:
Trump told those affected by the fires to heed the advice of state and local officials, presumably to evacuate if ordered, and he ended with a nod to firefighters: "THANK YOU to all First Responders for your incredible work!"
