BRIEF: Keene employee named VP, chief accountant for insurance group
Keene Sentinel (NH)
Oct. 13--A Florida-based insurance conglomerate has promoted one of its Keene employees to vice president and chief accounting officer.
Jerry Waters will serve in the new posts at The Main Street America Group -- which owns NGM Insurance Co. on West Street in Keene -- effective immediately, the company announced last week in a news release.
Waters joined the company in 2010 and has steadily risen through the ranks, according to the release. The promotion elevates him from the rank of director of corporate accounting, and in his new post, he will continue to oversee the company's accounting and tax-planning functions.
Before joining The Main Street America Group, Waters was a reinsurance accounting manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island and is a certified public accountant.
The Main Street America Group is based in Jacksonville, Fla., and operates seven insurance carriers, in addition to NGM.
