Biden To Visit Ohio To Sell Health Benefits In Relief Package

In his first visit to Ohio as president, Joe Biden will speak in Columbus on Tuesday as part of his national tour touting his $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act addressing the health and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The location and time of the Democrat's remarks were not immediately announced by the White House.
Biden has been traveling the nation on his "Help Is Here" tour, emphasizing his belief the American Rescue Plan will lower spending on health care by many American families.
Biden is expected to address health care as his visit will come on the anniversary of the signing of the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, on March 23, 2010, when he was vice president to President Barack Obama.
Passed by the Democrat-controlled Congress over Republican opposition, Biden's rescue package provides billions in aid to states, local governments, schools, small businesses and the unemployed while increasing spending on vaccination efforts.

Ohio is scheduled to receive more than $11 billion from the COVID-19 relief package, but Republican Gov. Mike DeWine has complained the state would have received an additional $834 million if funding was based on population.
