Aetna To Sell Individual Health Plans In Kentucky
Plans will offer consumers greater choice on Kynect.
LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Individuals in Kentucky will have greater choice when selecting their health insurance this year following the announcement that Aetna (NYSE:AET) will enter the individual marketplace in 2016. Aetna will be selling health plans both on and off Kynect, the state’s health insurance exchange.
Aetna will offer Gold, Silver and two Bronze plans in Boone, Campbell, Fayette, Henry, Jefferson, Kenton, Madison, Oldham, Owen, Trimble counties. The plans are in line with Aetna’s strategy to participate in marketplaces where the company can provide the greatest quality and value to consumers at a competitive price.
