Yates Services Recruiting Workers for Nissan Smyrna Plant

NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 4 -- The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development issued the following news release:

Yates Services, LLC, is looking for employees to fill long-term, full-time off shift positions at the Nissan Vehicle Manufacturing Plant in Smyrna.

The company is hiring for nights, afternoons, weekends, and rotating shifts for the following positions:

* Assembly/Production - $15.25 progressing to $19.25 off shift

Material Handling - forklift experience required; $13.25 progressing to $15.75 off shift

* Industrial Maintenance - graduate and have a diploma through an Industrial Maintenance course; off shift starting pay rate $15.45 progressing to $28.25

* Tool and Die Maker - experience required (welding, CNC, hand grinding)

* Warehouse/Production Support - off shift starting pay rate $12.00 progressing to $13.25

"Our department has a solid history of helping recruit workers for Yates to work at Nissan," said TN Labor & Workforce Development Commissioner Burns Phillips. "Nissan is a key component of Tennessee's strong automotive industry that continues to be important to Tennessee's economy."

How to apply: To be considered for available positions, you must bring a resume to the Murfreesboro Career Center and two forms of identification - either a driver's license and/or Social Security card. If you have an out-of-state driver's license, you will need proof of Tennessee residency. The Career Center is located at 1313 Old Fort Parkway, Murfreesboro, TN 37129, telephone (615) 898-8081.

Job requirements: Qualified job candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and must speak, read, and write fluent English. Qualified candidates will have a verifiable, stable work history and/or verifiable high school attendance record. Any manufacturing experience is a plus. Nissan is a drug-free/tobacco-free workplace. Yates Services conducts thorough background checks.

Company benefits: Benefits include 14 paid holidays and up to three weeks of paid vacation based on length of service. Educational assistance is available to Main Line Production/Maintenance Associates after two years of continuous service as an Associate. Full benefits package includes BC/BS Health Plans, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, AD&D first of month after 60 days and 401(k) Plan after one full year of service.
