San Diego, CA – The Producers Group (TPG) announced today the appointment of Mark Perlman, CLU, ChFC, CLTC as the Vice President of Disability Distribution. Based out of the Company’s New York office, Perlman will lead the TPG’s Disability Insurance department.
“We could not be more excited that Mark has joined The PG team and added the driving force we’ve needed behind our DI division,” said Kent Freundt, Founder and President of The Producers Group. “The PG has always been the Brokerage Company that has what it takes to help agents build their disability insurance business and increase their profitability; but today we’ve added a leader that brings with him over 30-years of expert knowledge and experience in DI that we have been looking for.”
Perlman began his financial services career in 1978 as an agent for MET Life in the Boston area. He advanced to Vice President of Life, DI and LTC, wholesaling over his more than 24-year career with MET. He also:
• had Vice President roles in retail insurance distribution;
• was a manager of two agencies; and
• started a scratch agency for MET under the Century 21 Insurance Division.
For the past ten years, Perlman led Union Central’s DI Distribution Department as Senior Field Sales Vice President. He managed, hired and developed brokerage managers and represented Union Central to approximately 27 DI Focused BGAs around the United States.
Perlman will assist TPG in offering the Company’s DI services that include:
• expert case design and an in-house medical review team to assist in securing best offers;
• an extensive product line including overhead expense, disability buy out and key person replacement;
• web access to detailed case status information;
• comprehensive sales programs; and
