The Dentists Insurance Company in Production with DTI’s OASIS; DTI’s OASIS Provides TDIC Streamlined End-to-End Professional Liability Insurance Processing

BOSTON January 11, 2006
Delphi Technology, Inc. (DTI), an established provider of technology solutions to the property and casualty insurance market, announced today that The Dentists Insurance Company (TDIC) is in production with DTI's OASIS insurance processing software solution. The OASIS implementation includes sophisticated workflow automation capabilities that increase TDIC's efficiency. TDIC has licensed DTI's entire insurance processing suite - including web functionality - for its professional liability, property, and general liability business.
TDIC offers customized insurance coverages tailored to dentists throughout the United States. Because of the high volume of policies that TDIC writes, combined with the low premium characteristics of their business, TDIC sought a new solution that would allow them to increase the automation of their processing. Foremost, TDIC wanted to ensure that they maintained their high standard of customer service.
With no out-of-box solution available in the market to meet their extensive workflow automation requirements, TDIC selected DTI as their development partner, given DTI's proven experience in the professional liability market and the reputation of the DTI system. Because DTI's OASIS solution is a rules-driven system, TDIC's extensive workflow requirements would fit in to enhance the existing capabilities.
According to David LaMar, CIO with TDIC, "We scoured the market looking for the best solution and chose DTI's OASIS - not only because it is a proven product, but also because DTI was willing to work with us to expand their system to accommodate our workflow needs. We really challenged them with our detailed workflow requirements, and they stepped up to the plate and worked closely with us through the process. DTI went the extra miles for us and we appreciate the effort."
Mr. LaMar continued, "With OASIS we now have a highly automated process that enables us to engage new policyholders and service them for years more efficiently."
Daihwan Choi, Account Executive with DTI, added, "We appreciate TDIC's confidence in our product, development, and professional liability expertise. All three elements were critical to the success of this project. TDIC challenged us with a significant development effort and a sophisticated implementation - we really had to come together as a team to accomplish what we did. But, it was well worth it, given that the new OASIS capabilities are now available as an option to our existing and future clients, enabling them to derive even more value from the DTI system."
