The American College Hall Of Fame Now Accepting Nominations

BRYN MAWR, PA – June 4, 2007 – One of the financial services industry’s most prestigious and revered educational institutions is once again preparing to honor worthy alumni.  The American College announced today that it is accepting nominations for induction into the institution’s Hall of Fame.  The Hall of Fame induction ceremony is an annual event designed to recognize graduates of The College’s designation or degree programs who have made extraordinary contributions in time, effort and energy to this remarkable institution of higher learning.

“We have a large number of alumni each year who give selflessly of themselves and support this institution. This is an opportunity to recognize these individuals and show our appreciation for their hard work and dedication.  They help make The American College the nation’s premier financial services educator,” stated The American College’s Vice President of Alumni Relations and Human Capital, Russell J. Figueira.  “We hope all our alumni will consider submitting nominations for this illustrious honor and helping The College recognize the prominent graduates and unsung heroes working behind the scenes that have helped to make this institution great.”

In order to qualify for induction into The American College Hall of Fame individuals must have graduated from at least one of The College’s world-renowned designation or degree programs.  In addition, individuals must be long-term volunteers of The College and active participants in The College’s community and learning environment.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from The American College Alumni Association website

All nominations must arrive at The College by June 30, 2007 to be considered.

Completed nomination forms can be mailed to Russ Figueira, c/o The American College Alumni Relations Office, 270 South Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bryn Mawr, Pa. 19010.  They can also be faxed to 610-526-1310.

Individuals can nominate themselves or be nominated by others.  A committee of seven individuals will review the completed nomination forms.  This nomination review committee will be comprised of faculty, staff and financial professionals who have earned their designations or degrees from The American College.  Being nominated previously does not exclude individuals from consideration in 2007.

The announcement recognizing the award recipient(s) will be made at The American College’s 2007 Knowledge Summit during the President’s Alumni Breakfast on November 15 in Orlando, FL.  Following the ceremony, inductees into the Hall of Fame will have their names permanently inscribed on a large plaque in The College’s main administrative building, MDRT Foundation Hall, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.  The inductees’ photos and biographies will be displayed prominently until the next class of individuals is inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The American College is dedicated to leadership in innovative training and development that helps financial services companies and their employees succeed.  As a non-profit educational institution holding the highest level of academic accreditation, The College has served as a valued business partner to banks, brokerage firms, insurance companies and others for 80 years.  The American College’s faculty represents some of the financial services industry’s foremost thought leaders.  For more information, visit www.TheAmericanCollege.edu
