Summit Racing/BIGFOOT® and Trick Flow/BIGFOOT® Monster Trucks Crush Cars at the Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama

Monster truck fans attending the inaugural Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama presented by Classic Collectors Insurance & zMAX are in for a big treat. Actually, make that two big treats as the Summit Racing/BIGFOOT and Trick Flow/BIGFOOT monster trucks will be doing car-crushing exhibitions at the event, billed as one of Georgia's largest car shows.

Piloting the BIGFOOT trucks are two of the world's best-known monster truck drivers: Dan Runte drives the Number 18 Summit Racing/BIGFOOT truck. He is one of the most accomplished monster truck racers, having won 11 national championships in a career that spans 25 years. In 2013, he broke the Guinness World Records "Longest Jump in a Monster Truck" record with a 214 foot, eight inch jump.

Larry Swim drives the Number 19 Trick Flow/BIGFOOT truck. He has won three monster truck championships since 2009. He was voted the Monster Truck Racing Association Driver of the Year in 2009.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2015, the BIGFOOT team currently campaigns 14 monster trucks in the United States, Europe, and Australia. Hailed as the first monster truck, BIGFOOT was the first to crush cars (1981), and appear in film and on TV. It was also the first monster truck to use 66-inch tall tires (1982), the standard size tires for all monster trucks today. A total of 25 different monster trucks and other vehicles have carried the BIGFOOT name.

Car-crushing exhibitions by BIGFOOT are scheduled to take place near Turn Three of the Atlanta Motor Speedway at 10:45 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 27. Dan Runte and Larry Swim will also be available for autographs.
