RSA Insurance Group Automates File Transfer Processes with Accellion
PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Leading global insurer RSA has selected the Accellion Managed File Transfer solution to enable its global workforce to securely share insurance contracts. RSA recently expanded its use of Accellion with the addition of Accellion Automation to simplify secure sharing of data between business applications. The company required a secure file transfer solution to enable the sharing of large volumes of sensitive insurance data amongst its regional offices.
"We wanted to work with a market leader on managed file transfer and our own detailed evaluation confirmed the Accellion solution as capable of meeting our secure data transfer needs," said Paul Corner, IS Service Delivery Manager at RSA. "Since implementation we've seen tangible benefits such as quicker and more efficient exchange of data with our international operations and third party partners. The Accellion solution has been well received across our business areas, and increased demand means we're also expanding capability by exploiting the API the solution offers and integrating it directly into some of our systems."
âInsurance companies handle large volumes of confidential data. The ability to securely manage this information is a difficult task. For large global organisations like RSA, the task can be much more complex,â said Paul Steiner, Accellionâs Managing Director for Europe. âThe Accellion solution helps remove the complexities associated with this process, ensuring confidential information is not exposed, networks and IT staff are not overburdened, and information is available when needed.â
The Accellion Secure File Transfer solution enables corporations and government agencies to securely send and receive files and folders up to 20GB. Encryption and business-level authentication validates recipients so confidential information remains secure while audit trails provide the necessary tracking and reporting to demonstrate compliance. The solution integrates both on-premise and off-premise deployment options for cloud and virtual environments, which work together seamlessly.
