Prudential said that the Univita Living program helps individuals and families find, coordinate and manage their independent living needs. Program members have access to a variety of services including assessments to evaluate individuals on key dimensions of independence, a resource library, and direct access to more than 200,000 qualified care and service providers. In addition, the program provides a private social network which allows family members and caregivers to coordinate and share observations and real- time updates about a loved one's care.
"We are dedicated to offering our policyholders access to programs that help maximize their ability to remain independent and age with dignity," says
Over the next 20 years, the number of people in the U.S. over 65 will drastically increase--while the number of working people able to care for a loved one requiring long-term care services will simultaneously decrease according to the US Census Population Projections. By providing policyholders access to this program, Prudential is helping families to be better prepared to meet this growing challenge.
"Historically, aging individuals and their families have had to piece together care services from many uncoordinated sources. This complexity and fragmentation has made independence more challenging to achieve," says
