Patriot National Insurance Group Congratulates Steven M. Mariano For Being Named 2014 Broward County Heart Ball Honoree

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Patriot National Insurance Group, a leading provider of workers' compensation insurance solutions, is proud to announce that Steven M. Mariano, Patriot National's CEO, was named the 2014 Broward County Heart Ball Honoree. This distinction recognizes influential members of the community who have made significant contributions to the American Heart Association and to the community at large. This honor has only been awarded one other time in Broward County; the previous Honoree is Fred DeLuca, co-founder of Subway.

The American Heart Association has acknowledged Mr. Mariano for bringing the Broward Heart Ball to the next level: the Broward County Heart Ball is now amongst the top 10 Heart Balls in the country. Mr. Mariano served as Chairman of the 2010 and 2011 Broward Heart Ball and has continued to serve on their executive cabinet from 2012-2014. Going forward, Mr. Mariano has agreed to chair the 2015 joint Broward and Miami-Dade Heart Ball. 

Mr. Mariano is very active in South Florida. He is involved in numerous charitable and community development organizations including: the CEO Council of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, Broward County's official public/private partnership for economic development and Chairman of the Broward Boys and Girls Club.
