Patent Issued for LTC Economic Impact Planning Software
Littleton, CO – February 25, 2008 - The Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued Patent No. 7,328,183 for “Computer Program and Method for Determining the Economic Impact of Long-Term Care”. Inventor is Ralph D. Leisle, Assignee LTCia, LLC, a Missouri corporation now based in Colorado.
The invention enables professional advisors and others to gain an improved understanding of financial risk associated with long-term personal care. This helps advisors and their clients make informed decisions regarding long-term care insurance versus self-funding. The computer program and method simultaneously determines both an insured and uninsured economic impact on personal assets for any number of care and insurance scenarios.</p>
Trade name of the software is the “LTC Economic Impact Planning Model™”. In addition to projecting the impact of care, the program allows the user to determine the relative value of alternative insurance benefit and co-pay decisions. The report options include basic and more comprehensive financial calculations. In addition to care cost, premium and claims paid information, cash flow analysis and various financial ratios are included. These data help the user and client determine if insurance is financially a better deal than an investment program to fund future care.
Obtain information on the software and access to several articles illustrating various planning scenarios by contacting Ralph Leisle, President, LTCi Decision Systems, Inc at 1 800-360-9853 or E-mail at [email protected]. Web address at http://www.LTCia.com
