Berke joined Pacific Life in 2001 as technical program manager. He assumed roles of increasing responsibility, advancing to director of Database Management in 2007. In his current role, Berke is responsible for directing the design of complex database management frameworks and system integration solutions that support vital business systems, including the Commission system, New Business systems, and Planned Performance Tracking. As assistant vice president, Berke's role will expand to include the technical environment support for Pacific Life's Prime initiative.
A resident of Riverside, Bortmann joined Pacific Life in 1999 as a web architect, with the responsibility of launching the first secure transactional website for financial professionals. Since then he has been promoted several times while providing leadership in the development of self-service internet applications. He has expanded his responsibilities to also include E-commerce (EDI), which includes the support and management of all electronic delivery interfaces with trading partners. Bortmann's promotion to assistant vice president recognizes his greater scope of responsibilities in delivering complex technical solutions that help maintain the Retirement Solutions Division's competitive advantage, as well as continuing to provide leadership and direction to the teams responsible for
Difley joined Pacific Life in 2011 as director of Credit Analysis in Investment Management, with responsibility for analyzing new investment opportunities within the corporate bond market, as well as developing investment strategies for assigned industries and sectors. Difley's promotion to assistant vice president recognizes the increased complexity and scope of investment opportunities for which he is responsible, as well as his contributions to the investment process as a whole.
Jarvis joined Pacific Life in 2011 as a long-term care compliance consultant in the Life Insurance Division. In 2012, she was promoted to director of Market Conduct Compliance with responsibility to oversee the
Johnson, a resident of Mission Viejo, joined Pacific Life in 2000 as an internet architect in the Life Insurance Division. In 2011, he transitioned to the role of architecture consultant, responsible for supporting the technical enterprise architecture direction for the Life Insurance Division. His promotion to assistant vice president of Architecture recognizes his expanded responsibilities for planning and providing leadership in the development of strategic technical solutions.
Kissel joined Pacific Life in 2006 as a product manager for Structured Settlements in the
Lara, a resident of North Tustin, joined Pacific Life in 2011 as director and actuary within the Product Design department of the Retirement Solutions Division. In this role she directs the research, design, development, pricing and implementation of existing or new Institutional and
Plumb joined Pacific Life in 1999 as an internet marketing manager in the Retirement Solutions Division. In 2001, he was promoted to director of Internet Marketing and has over the years assumed increasing responsibilities, including overseeing digital and social media efforts for the division. As assistant vice president, Plumb will have expanded responsibilities in leading the strategic advancements in digital marketing technology while also continuing to build a team of digital professionals.
Pum, a resident Mission Viejo, joined Pacific Life in 1993 as an accounting supervisor in the Securities Operations area where he was responsible for accounting and reporting for fixed income and equity securities. In 1999, Pum transferred to Internal Audit before being promoted to director of Internal Audit in 2006. In his current role, he is responsible for a variety of operational audit matters, and for managing a growing team of professional audit staff, including the international audit team based in the
Xu joined Pacific Life in 2011 as director for M Reinsurance in the Life Insurance Division, where she was responsible for managing all activities related to the reinsurance relationship with the
