Online Traffic School Comes to Baton Rouge to Help Keep Points off Drivers’ Records and Keep Insurance Premiums from Increasing

PR Web

Baton Rouge, LA (PRWEB) December 11, 2013

GoToTrafficSchool.com, a division of CyberActive, Inc., was recently awarded a five-year contract to provide the City of Baton Rouge with online traffic school courses to give ticketed drivers the option of taking an online traffic school course to reduce their eligible moving violation to a non-moving violation, preventing the increase in their auto insurance premiums that accompanies moving violation points.

The course price is $15.00 plus court costs and city parish fees. The online traffic school program will launch on December 11, 2013.

The City awarded the online traffic school contract to CyberActive dba GoToTrafficSchool.com in September, 2013 after a competitive RFP bidding process. The decision to award the contract to CyberActive was based on several factors, including technical expertise, course price and the company’s experience in the online traffic school industry.

About GoToTrafficSchool.com online traffic courses:
GoToTrafficSchool.com'sBaton Rouge online traffic course can be completed at the individual pace of each participant and can be taken in one sitting or multiple sittings, as the unique tracking feature saves the user’s spot and upon login, returns them to the part of the lesson at which they left off.

The course provides additional features that go beyond the standard online format, such as an audio read along feature and tablet and mobile capability, which allows participants the flexibility to study anytime and anywhere. GoToTrafficSchool.com has been offering online traffic safety programs to ticketed drivers, teens, truck drivers, mature drivers and large driving fleets since 2000 and is one of the foremost online traffic safety school providers in the nation.

Advantages of an online traffic course:
An online traffic course essentially gives the driver a "do-over" and takes the moving violation off of their record, almost as if it never happened. Of course, such courses don't give drivers carte blanche to drive recklessly. City law allows drivers to take the traffic course in lieu of receiving points for a moving violation only once every two years.

About CyberActive:
CyberActive, Inc. is a leader in the traffic safety industry, providing tailored online programs for courts, state governments, private businesses and public organizations for over 15 years. To date, the company has helped more than two million drivers in 50 states learn to drive, reduce the number of traffic violations and lower their insurance rates.

Sharon Naim, The CEO and President of CyberActive is a California licensed attorney who started the company in 2000 when she combined her traffic safety expertise with her business experience in developing online education courseware and software.

“I love Baton Rouge and am excited to bring our services to the city," says Ms. Naim. "This program will educate drivers instead of punishing them by assessing points on their driver record—which helps to make the insurance companies richer. It will also unclog the court system and save taxpayer money - a win win for everyone.”
