One Call Medical Acquires STOPS

Nation’s Leading Provider of Diagnostic Scheduling Services Adds Transportation to Cost Containment Portfolio for Workers’ Compensation

PARSIPPANY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- One Call Medical (OCM), the nation’s leading provider of diagnostic test scheduling (including MRI, CT scans, Electromyography and Nerve Conduction Studies) for Worker’s Compensation payers, today announced its acquisition of STOPS, a national leader in high quality transportation and interpretation services to the workers’ compensation marketplace. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Our focus is on solutions that make claims adjusters’ lives easier by providing best in class services which contribute to better claims outcomes, increased adjuster productivity and faster return to work times for injured workers,” said Don Duford, President of One Call Medical. “STOPS is the perfect fit for One Call Medical’s strategy of building a broader suite of value-added cost containment services for worker’s compensation payers. Our experience shows that rapid and accurate diagnoses together with a comprehensive treatment plan are the critical foundation elements to achieve the best claim outcomes for both injured workers and payers.”

“One Call Medical is the best partner to support our efforts in expanding the STOPS franchise nationally,” stated Robert Cook, CEO and founder of STOPS. “We share a commitment to get injured workers the treatment they need to return to work, as quickly and safely as possible. Based on our superior service delivery models, the combination of STOPS with One Call Medical makes this commitment a reality.”

STOPS, based in Titusville, Florida, is recognized by clients as consistently providing highly reliable services that make claims adjusters more efficient in their claims handling as evident by its 99.5% success rate in completing transportation of injured workers to their medical appointments. The firm also provides comprehensive translation services, which are increasingly in demand as the American workforce becomes more diverse.

STOPS (www.stopsinc.com) will continue to operate under its current marketing brand and sales and service delivery systems.
