New York Institute of Finance to Host Live Online Bank Management Contest Final, August 29 – 31, 2011

The New York Institute of Finance has three press places reserved at the OBMC 2011 Award Ceremony & Reception in New York on August 31, 2011.

NYIF is always looking for tools to develop top talent and the Online Bank Management Contest fits into that category. Developed by SimArch to improve the adaption of personnel to the market and competitiveness of external environments, to offer alternative ways and opportunities to learn more about banking and the financial services industry, to create opportunities for the exchange of experience, ideas and networking among banking personnel internationally and to enhance the overall performance of the bank, it's a challenge for all who enter.

Each OBMC consists of three action-packed days. During the three days participants are exposed to banking activities and products, economic challenges, competition and the central bank's policies. They are challenged as a team to manage a full-service bank for six financial quarters via a banking simulation, FirstB@nk. Each OBMC has a tailored economic and banking environment offering a realistic duplicate of the banking environment in that region.

Following four regional OBMC online heats - Americas, Africe, Asia Pacific and Europe - the winners will join each other live in New York City for the Global Final.
