Landmark Boston Toyota Dealership “Brings the Sunshine Inside” with Qnuru LED Lights

Albuquerque, New Mexico (Vocus/PRWEB) January 26, 2011

Qnuru™, the Noribach Group’s smart energy digital lighting division, today announced that Expressway Toyota of Dorchester, MA, a close-in Boston suburb, has retrofitted its iconic dealership with Qnuru’s Vector line of high wattage LED retrofit bulbs. Founded, owned and operated by brothers Richard and Robert Boch, Expressway Toyota sells new and used Toyota and Scion automobiles from its 45,000 square foot, vertical dealership perched alongside Boston’s Southeast Expressway, one of the metropolitan area’s heaviest traffic corridors. Qnuru retrofitted the dealership’s exterior and interior light fixtures, slashing Expressway’s energy costs by over 80% and eliminating the majority of its lighting maintenance expenses because of Noribachi’s 5-year product warranty and the 50,000 hour minimum lifetime rating of Qnuru’s LED technology.

Following a 2-month pilot project, Qnuru retrofitted 100% of Expressway’s 1000 watt exterior parking lot high intensity discharge (HID) fixtures with 161 watt Vector Pecos LED bulbs. 250 watt HID exterior area lights were retrofitted with Qnuru’s 65 watt Vector La Joya LED bulbs. Inside Expressway’s facilities, Qnuru’s 46 watt Vector Melrose LED lights were installed, nearly tripling the light output levels compared to the previous incandescent bulbs. Expressway estimates it will earn a return on its investment in Qnuru’s LED lighting in approximately 24 months based on significant energy and maintenance savings.

“Everyone comments on the superior light quality from our new LED bulbs,” said Richard Boch, dealer-principal of Expressway Toyota. “But by far the most vocal fan club is my Finance and Insurance department. One employee commented that ‘it’s like bringing the sunshine inside’. For me, the biggest difference is how much better our cars look in our outdoor lots under LED light. The fact that the colors are clean and daylight-true translates into my customers being able to spend much less time in the freezing cold looking at cars during our long, dark winter evenings and that means more business.”

Qnuru’s Vector retrofit family of high wattage LED bulbs fit all major commercial and industrial light fixtures. Installable by a licensed electrician in less than 20 minutes, they offer an average return on investment of 16-30 months and carry a Noribachi-backed 5-year warranty. Qnuru’s Prism line of low wattage bulbs are 80% more energy efficient than incandescent bulbs, 50% more efficient than compact fluorescent and linear fluorescent bulbs, and come with a 3-year Noribachi warranty. Vector and Prism smart energy LED solutions are UL Listed, ETL-Certified and designed, assembled and tested in the U.S.

“Expressway’s motto, ‘the best way, the green way, to save you money,’ now applies equally to its low customer prices and the energy savings it is reaping from our smart energy LED bulbs,” said Farzad Dibachi, President and CEO of Noribachi. “If Boston is the hub of New England, then Expressway is at the epicenter of the green dealership movement. Fiscal prudence and environmental stewardship are prized Yankee virtues that come joined together in our smart energy digital lighting solutions.”
