Janney Montgomery Scott Announces Leadership Appointment; New Team in Southeast Region

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Janney Montgomery Scott LLC (“Janney”), a leading regional full-service financial services firm, today announced the appointment of Andrew M. Kistler, III as Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of Janney’s Southeast region. The firm also announced the addition of The Palmetto Advisory Group, working from Janney’s Columbia and Hilton Head branches in South Carolina.

Kistler, a well-respected leader in the Southeast region, joins Janney from Stifel Nicolaus, where he served since 2009 as Senior Vice President/Southeast Regional Director. Prior to Stifel, he spent time as Eastern Divisional Director at H&R Block Financial Advisors, and nearly 20 years with The Robinson-Humphrey Company/Smith Barney. Kistler earned his degree in business administration from The University of North Carolina.

In March, Janney opened an office in Aiken, South Carolina, with plans for continued growth within its Southeast regional footprint, which includes offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, Spartanburg and Raleigh, in addition to its locations in Columbia and Hilton Head.

The newest addition to the Columbia and Hilton Head offices is The Palmetto Advisory Group. With approximately $220 million in client assets, the team will be led by E.H. “Chip” Stanley Jr., Senior Vice President/Wealth Management, and Geddings H. Crawford Jr., Senior Vice President/Wealth Management. The additional members of the team include: Linda S. Fraser, Vice President/Wealth Management; Geoffery K. Forsyth, Financial Advisor; Carolee W. McKeown, Senior Registered Private Client Assistant; and Henry Batts, Private Client Assistant.
