Insurance company files for clearing and grading permit [Tyler Morning Telegraph, Texas]

Nov. 12--Centene Corp, based in St. Louis, Mo., filed a clearing and grading permit for land at 3258 Earl Campbell Parkway.

RLM General Contractors, of Longview, is the contractor for the project.

Centene, a health insurance company, is expanding its customer base in Texas and is constructing a core claims processing center in Tyler. The company expects to hire about 327 employees at the facility here, representatives said. A groundbreaking ceremony for the 50,000-square-foot facility is planned for Monday.

BioLife Plasma Services, based in Appleton, Wis., is constructing a 16,694-square-foot building at 332 W. Heritage Drive, for $3.7 million. W.D.S. Construction Inc., of Beaver Dam, Wis., is the contractor.

Samir Patel is constructing a 20,858-square-foot Executive Inn & Suites at 3701 Chandler Highway for $1 million.

Regions Financial Corp., based in Birmingham, Ala. Is making changes to its 9,600-square-foot Tyler Main Bank Branches and Offices, at 100 E. Ferguson, for $480,000. Work includes relocating the Trust Department from the upper level of the Tower Building to the Annex Building and relocating and reconfiguring the branch on the main level of the building. 7&7 Construction, of Memphis, Tenn., is the contractor.

Texas College is replacing the remainder of the classroom windows in the 20,000-square-foot Willie Lee Glass Building, 2404 N. Grand Ave. J.C. Lewis Construction LLC, of Center, is the contractor for the $70,000 project.

John Huml, of Whitehouse, is changing his donut shop to Dickey's Barbecue Pit. He is renovating the 2,800-square-foot space, at 1501 WSW Loop 323, for $37,855. Dorsey Construction, of Whitehouse, is the contractor.

East Texas Medical Center is remodeling its 773-square-foot Cancer Center Vault Room, at 721 Clinic Drive. Work includes removing old equipment and concrete floor, pouring new floor and pit and new finishes. RPR Construction is the contractor for the $47,000 project.

The A&W convenience store at 900 W. Bow is getting new paint, cabinets and ceiling tile for $46,000. The names of the owner and contractor were illegible on the building permit.

The Genecov Group is renovating the fifth floor restrooms for Potter-Minton, at 110 N. College, Suite 500, for $46,000.

Vickie Wells is adding a half bath and repairing rotten siding at Midwifery, 421 S. Bonner, for $14,000. Jonathan Easling Contractor, LLC, of Winona, is the contractor.

Sign permits were filed by Days Inn Hotel, 2631 WNW Loop 323, Kirkland Sign Co. Inc.; Pinot's Palette, 322 ESE Loop 323, $4,967, Design Center Signs; US Auto Plaza, 3704 Troup Highway, $800, Tyler Sign Services; and Cash Xpress, 208 Rice Road, $2,500, DMP Investments, Sign Mart.

Trent Williams Construction Management is building a 7,449-square-foot home at 2311 Mirabeau Drive for $601,787. Trent Williams Construction is the contractor.

Dennis H. Walker is constructing a 1,905-square-foot house at 1020 Border for $96,000. Walker & Associates is the contractor.

Wayne and Kathy Babin are demolishing an existing sunroom and rebuilding it at 207 E. Charnwood St. for $125,000. CB Builder is the contractor.

George P. Bane III filed a grading permit to remove a house and trees at 15420 Joseph Road for $75,000.

Karen Roberts is building a $47,000 pool at 6944 Park. Trinity Valley Pools, of Palestine, is the contractor.

Alan Jones is building a $25,000 fountain at 2824 Stewart Way. Preferred Pools, Inc. is the contractor.

Jim and Pam Essman filed a demolition permit for a 4,500-square-foot house at 727 Cumberland Road for $15,000. Tyler Demolition is the contractor.

Abel Media is adding on to a house at 2618 N. Industrial for $10,000.

Matthew Laine is demolishing rock and brick on the front porch and bedroom at 1950 Stonegate Court for $5,000. KJ Homes, of Flint, is the contractor.

Lowes is replacing a door for Lisa Kopeck at 323 E. Noble for $787; and a door for Mark Lipson at 1800 Bent Tree Lane for $1,025. Lowes is also replacing 15 windows for Larry Laringham at 3415 Lynwood Drive for $4,233; and three windows for Martha Hipke at 5413 Ashburg Court for $978.

Sears Home Improvement is replacing seven windows for Maria Peralta at 2506 Lex Ave. for $7,533; 12 windows for Patricia Williams at 3403 Brookside Drive for $12,409; and two windows for Christine Powell at 3653 Woods Blvd. for $2,484.

THD At-Home Services is replacing a window for Sean Woods at 111 Alpine for $672.

Ruth H. Wade is repairing a home at 1201 Butler for $5,000. Work includes electrical, repair/replace wood, paint and heating system.

Driveway permits were filed by Soto Concrete, 707 Cumberland; and Horton Concrete, 2220 Thornwood. There were also 13 HVAC permits filed.
