Heffernan Insurance Brokers Welcomes Julie Davis as Vice President Specializing in Technology

Heffernan Insurance Brokers, one of the largest independent brokerage firms in the United States, is pleased to announce that Julie Davis has joined its San Francisco team as a Vice President specializing in the technology industry sector and product specialization in network risk, security and privacy liability.

Davis has 25 years of insurance and risk management experience and has been at the forefront of developing programs to help technology firms manage their risks. For the past 17 years Davis has served as Executive Vice President for Aon Risk Services Technology Practice where she created and led its National Practice for Emerging Technology and Life Science firms. With Davis's leadership, the division served more than 1,400 technology firms, which launched more than 1,000 new products. The firms she served had frequent M&A and IPO activity, and several achieved public status with an aggregate market cap exceeding $40 billion.

Davis's industry accolades include Annual Women in Insurance Leadership Award, sponsored by Insurance Networking News Magazine, Chicago; Chicago Innovation Awards, sponsored by Kuczmarski & Associates, Microsoft, Deloitte and Chicago Sun Times; and Insurance Innovators Award, sponsored by Insurance and Technology Magazine.

She is an accomplished author with articles published in Insurance Journal, Business Insurance, National Underwriter and Rough Notes. She is co-author of E-Risks--Liabilities in a Wired World, published by National Underwriter.

Davis is a graduate of the Institute of Business Management and the Institute of Managerial Leadership from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas, Austin. She is a graduate of and has obtained a certification in Finance & Accounting Accreditation from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management, Rice University, Houston, Texas.
