NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top insurance companies were mixed at the close of trading:
ACE L rose $.41 or .4 percent, to $93.25.
Aflac Inc. rose $.29 or .5 percent, to $61.76.
American International Group rose $.02 or percent, to $47.64.
MBIA rose $.41 or 3.7 percent, to $11.47.
MGIC Investments Corp. rose $.21 or 2.6 percent, to $8.32.
MetLife fell $.10 or .2 percent, to $47.68.
XL Group PLC fell $.10 or .4 percent, to $27.96.
