Farmers Insurance Mobile Catastrophe Claims Bus (MCC) and Customer Care Vehicle (CCV) Set Up in Virginia Beach and Newport News, VA to Help Customers With Claims

NORFOLK, Va., Aug. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmers Insurance Group of Companies®, including subsidiaries Foremost Insurance, Bristol West and 21st Century Insurance, are on the scene throughout Virginia helping customers with claims.

"Farmers' agents, claims adjusters and employees are continuing to help customers with their claims needs," stated Riko Metzroth, Farmers Virginia State Executive Director.  A Mobile Claims Bus is in Virginia Beach, and "a Customer Care Vehicle is located in Newport News. They will be available all day today until 7 p.m."

The Farmers MCC is one of three.  It is 46' long and is equipped with state-of-the art satellite communications equipment; seven claims stations; water, supplies; laptop and telephone capability for use by our customers and public; and a built in grill which can be utilized to serve meals to Farmers' customers and others in need.  

"Our Customer Care Claims Vehicles are smaller versions of our mobile buses and are ready to assist with claims and supply needs of customers and others in need.  Farmers will be available to help in any way we can," Metzroth said. "A CCV will also be in Richmond, VA tomorrow at 3951 Westerre Parkway. Storm damage was equally severe in the Richmond area and we are there to help all of our customers who have suffered damage."

Farmers Insurance advises customers who have suffered damage, to first contact their agent, or call the hotline number.

Farmers Insurance 24-hour-claims hotline is 1-800-HelpPoint (1-800-435-7764) for immediate assistance.

Spanish-language claims assistance is available to Farmers customers by calling: 877-RECLAMO (877-732-5266).

Foremost Insurance customers should file their claim by calling: 800-527-3907.

Bristol West Insurance customers should file their claim by calling: 800-274-7865.

21st Century Insurance customers can call: 888-244-6163.

Flood victims who have flood insurance should contact the National Flood Program.
