Delta Dental’s Individual Dental HMO Now Available in California Through eHealthInsurance.com

Low-cost dental plan offers wide range of benefits, no annual deductible or maximum

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- California’s largest dental carrier announced today that eHealthInsurance.com now offers its individual and family HMO dental plan. DeltaCare USA, administered by Delta Dental of California, is the first dental HMO offered through the award-winning insurance online retailer.

DeltaCare^®USA provides coverage for most common dental procedures, including diagnostic, preventive and restorative services. Enrollees select a network provider who will provide dental care for set copayments for covered services. The DeltaCare USA plan is available only through eHealthInsurance’s website, www.eHealthInsurance.com, and to individuals living in California.

“Our partnership with eHealthInsurance makes the purchase of a quality individual or family dental plan both easy and affordable,” said MohammadReza Navid, Delta Dental’s vice president of Sales. “Typically, individuals who are not covered through work face very limited and/or expensive choices for dental coverage. That is no longer the case thanks to this new offering,” he said.

Enrollees pay a modest one-time enrollment fee and an annual premium, in addition to any copayments for covered services. There is no annual deductible, annual maximum or waiting period, as is typically the case with traditional fee-for-service and PPO dental plans.
