Concept Capital Markets, LLC is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Brett Yarkon and Henry (Harry) Shillingford. Brett and Harry are both seasoned prime brokerage professionals who bring their own skill sets to the firm, will complement the firm's team, and extend its reach in the market place.

Brett Yarkon joined Concept Capital as Managing Director – Managed Accounts, Prime Services and Capital Introduction. Brett comes to the firm as part of the previously announced transition of the MA&PS platform from I.A. Englander & Co. to Concept. With the account transitions almost complete, Brett will now work with the Concept team, utilizing the firm's technology platform and investment manager relationships to further develop the firm's reach into the institutional allocator space. At I.A. Englander Brett served as Managing Director - Head of Risk Management, and oversaw the firm's operations as well as many client relationships. Prior to Englander, Brett was at Guggenheim Advisors, a Fund of Funds operating a managed account platform. As a Senior Vice President, Brett worked in the risk management group analyzing and managing the risk in the underlying hedge fund portfolios as well as the overall Fund of Funds. Brett performed various functions including market risk, hedge fund due diligence, and asset allocation, concentrating on Equity Long Short, Event Driven, Volatility Arbitrage, and Multi Strategy funds. Brett was part of the group that built out a robust risk reporting infrastructure that was cutting edge for its time and still in use today. He spent almost 7 years with the firm, helping it grow from $500 million AUM to more than $3 billion. Earlier in his career, Brett spent more than two years at Bear Stearns in the management training program. Harry Shillingford joined Concept Capital as Senior Vice President – Prime Brokerage Sales. Harry comes to the firm following more than seven years in prime services and brings with him significant experience in developing and serving client relationships, providing business consulting services to newly launched hedge fund firms, and coordinating capital introduction events. Prior to joining Concept Capital, Harry worked at Lazard Capital Markets since 2010, where he served as Senior Vice President, Prime Services, and Royal Bank of Canada from 2007-2010, where he served as Vice President, Global Prime Services. Earlier in his career, Harry worked in equity sales and trading at Carlin Financial Group and E*Trade Securities.
