(Vocus) October 27, 2010 -- The staff of Chesapeake Bay Aquatic & Physical Therapy, formerly known as Chesapeake Physical & Aquatic Therapy, has been proud to serve the communities of Bowie, Laurel, and Severna Park for the past eight years. We offer traditional land-based physical therapy as well as aquatic therapy, where exercises and manual treatments are completed in a warm-water therapy pool. We accept most insurance plans and we have evening and weekend hours available.

Chesapeake Bay Aquatic & Physical Therapy offers a full range of outpatient physical therapy services for all orthopedic injuries as well as arthritis and neurological disorders. We treat patients of all ages. Our therapists have a wide range of experience treating professional and recreational athletes and individuals who have suffered injuries at work or in accidents involving personal injury. Chesapeake Bay Aquatic & Physical Therapy offers both pre-operative and post-operative care. Manual and aquatic therapy, therapeutic exercises and modalities, and sports specific rehabilitation are just a few of the services we provide.

Chesapeake Bay Aquatic & Physical Therapy is dedicated to offering patients outstanding care in a motivating atmosphere. Patients have told us that we make rehabilitation fun and educational. Our mission is to provide each patient with the best care possible. We encourage patients to stay active after completing physical therapy and we utilize equipment inside Sport Fit gyms at all of our locations. We want you to leave us feeling strong, healthy, and capable of doing all of the activities you were able to do prior to your injury.

Here what a recent patient has to say:
“In the beginning, I couldn’t even carry a purse, couldn’t even ride in the car without back pain, couldn’t sit in straight back chairs, couldn’t walk a block without sitting to rest. I thought I would need back surgery. The doctor suggested physical therapy first. It’s been wonderful. My improvement has been great! This weekend I walked across a lacrosse field, up a hill, down some steps carrying a chair and my purse. I can carry groceries up the stairs. The staff is supportive and always pleasant. They take me through my exercises with so much encouragement that, like a little dog, I just want to please them. This is my second PT experience with Chesapeake and both have surpassed my expectations.” - P. M.

If you want to achieve all of your rehabilitative goals in a friendly, motivating, comfortable environment, Chesapeake Bay Aquatic & Physical Therapy is the physical therapy center for you!

Sarah Bloomberg, PTA will be presenting a seminar on Balance and Vestibular Disorders on Thursday, October 28, 2010. It will be at the Bowie Senior Center at 10:30 AM.
