COURT (JP takes suo moto on HR case)

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry Fridpex court on February 22 with reports. The action was taken on an application of Mrs. Mukhtar Begum R/o Mianwali stating therein that she was taking her daughter to the Rawalpindi Hospital for her treatment. On the way, the Bulkasar Police snatched the girl from her and sent her to Dar-ul-Aman by the orders of the Judicial Magistrate.

She went to Dar-ul-Aman to see her daughter, but she was not found there. She received information from different sources and this fact came into her knowledge that the officials confined her daughter in a private place and committed raped with her and due to this reason her daughter was died and her dead body was buried.

Taking the notice of the complaint the Chief Justice directed the PPO Punjab to recover and produce daughter of applicant in this Court on February 22. “Let Sessions Judge directed to incharge Judicial Magistrate if Dar-ul-Aman under whose directions she was kept over there. Submit report through a special messenger before this Court on said date. Incharge of Dar-ul-Aman be also directed to appear alongwith record of the case†, said the order passed by the Chief Justice.
