Badgers football: Russell Wilson says winning Super Bowl hasn’t quenched his desire to be great

"I think the biggest thing is a couple more people trying to grab you here and there," Wilson said on Saturday, while taking part in a football camp for kids at
"But there are only 24 hours in a day. There's only so much you can do."
Wilson has been working out for 12 hours a day -- at least when he is not taking part in the
Keep in mind, this is considered the
"Very much true," Wilson said. "I'm putting in 12-hour days and I feel like I'm still in season. That's a good thing for me.
"I get my break and I get a break while traveling and doing these camps and everything, but at the same time, I'm getting the focus on football and preparing the right way."
If you want to get Wilson's competitive juices flowing, mention a recent story on NFL.com that suggested it's time for him to prove he can carry an offense.
"I think we've done that before," he said. "I think I did it the first two years."
Then there was Wilson himself, saying just the other day that he needs to improve.
When asked which areas needing improving, he played it coy.
"I think every area," he said. "I think every area, you want to capitalize on every situation possible, just continue to grow in all of the little details."
Wilson, 25, quarterbacked the

Beyond the statistics, the poise Wilson showed at such a young age stood out.
"I think that's huge," Wilson said of the experience he gained playing in those big games last season. "I think that confidence you have playing in big games, never scared, never fearful, just go out there and play the game."
Wilson is in line for a big contract after this season, but the
But that doesn't seem to bother Wilson.
"I think we're doing just fine," Wilson said. "We just won a Super Bowl, so I'm excited about the next opportunity."
Wilson had five camps last year, all in cities where his career has taken him. This year, he is up to eight, with added stops in
"I have a team that really helps me in terms of planning everything out," he said.
"I have a whole bunch of people that help plan the little details, all the way to the big ones. And I help a bunch. I'm very much hands on."
Indeed, Wilson showed up early for the one-day camp, which was scheduled to last about eight hours. His voice could be heard constantly, booming through a microphone, encouraging the kids, while running around the fields at

Given how much more hectic Wilson's life has become -- in addition to the demands on a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, he filed for divorce from his wife, Ashton, in April after two years of marriage -- you would think he would be looking to cut back on the camps, not add to them. But that is not how he views it.
"I don't think it's going to be hard to do the camps at all," Wilson said, looking ahead to the future. "We're focused on trying to be around as many kids as we possibly can (and) change as many kids as we possibly can, their lives, all across the country."
As for football, Wilson thinks the 12-hour days in the offseason speak the loudest. They show how hungry he remains only months removed from winning his first Super Bowl.
"Very much so," Wilson said. "I want to be the best, (so) I have to keep working at it and working at it."
