BRIEF: Lodi Electric Utility finances to be discussed Tuesday

Aug. 23--The Lodi City Council will receive an update on the 10-year financial forecast for the Lodi Electric Utility at its Aug. 26 shirtsleeve session.

In January, the council approved a contract totaling $78,560 with EES Consulting of Kirkland, Wash., to develop Lodi Electric's 10-year financial planning model, as well as complete a cost of service analysis.

Lodi Electric had not had a comprehensive rate review conducted for more than five years prior to the completion of this latest study, according to city of Lodi staff.

Development work for the financial plan began Feb. 1 and concluded April 1.

A summary of Lodi Electric's revenue requirements as they relate to operations, capital infrastructure and power supply costs through 2024 will be presented on Tuesday morning.

Tuesday's shirtsleeve session begins at 7 a.m. in Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St.
