BRIEF: Fund set up for Ardmore fire victim

Aug. 03--A fund for Ardmore resident Michael Craft, whose home was destroyed by a fire July 29, has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank.

Donations to the Michael Craft Donation Account may be made at any Wells Fargo branch, according to Craft's mother, Michelle Hoover.

Hoover said her 26-year-old son, a BASF employee, had insurance on the house on Cedar Hill Road at Mims Street, but so far "the insurance company has not given him any money to live on."

Craft's dogs, Storm and Rowdy, died in the fire. Hoover said the barking dogs woke her son in time for him to escape but he was unable to save the pets.

"Nobody's told us anything as to what's caused the fire," Hoover said.
