Armed Forces Insurance Now Provides Financial Services Through AFBA Alliance
Members of Armed Forces Insurance (AFI) now can enjoy life insurance, investments and banking products specifically designed to meet the military's needs through a new alliance with Armed Forces Benefit Association (AFBA).
Leavenworth, Kan. (PRWEB) May 7, 2009 -- Members of Armed Forces Insurance (AFI) now can enjoy life insurance, investments and banking products specifically designed to meet the military's needs through a new alliance with Armed Forces Benefit Association (AFBA).
"This relationship is a natural fit, since our two organizations share a military legacy and specialize in serving members of the armed forces and their families," said Bill James, vice president, AFI. "Through this alliance, we now can offer our members direct access to AFBA's life insurance products, and can perform a reciprocal service for AFBA's members who need auto, home, personal property and umbrella insurance."
AFI members who call and ask about life insurance will be referred to an AFBA customer service representative to discuss their needs. Similarly, online requests will be handled directly by an AFBA agent.
AFBA is a voluntary nonprofit membership association founded in 1947 under the auspices of General Dwight Eisenhower and featuring low cost life insurance products tailored mainly to the needs of members of the uniformed services of the United States. Since 1947, AFBA has paid more than 1 billion dollars in death claims to beneficiaries of members serving in the Korean, Vietnam and Persian Gulf conflicts, the terrorist attack on the Pentagon and the Iraqi and Afghan operations. In addition to the extensive life insurance offerings from 5Star Life Insurance Company, 5Star Financial, LLC, a holding company owned by the AFBA investment trust, offers mutual funds and banking products and services. AFBA serves all active, retired, separated, National Guard and reserve military personnel, as well as federal workers, homeland security and first responders across the United States and Puerto Rico. More information can be found at www.afba.com.
