Alterra Capital Appoints Dan Gamble to Lead US Professional Liability Group

HAMILTON, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Alterra Capital Holdings Limited (“Alterra”) (NASDAQ: ALTE; BSX: ALTE.BH) today announced the appointment of Daniel G. Gamble as Executive Vice President of the Professional Liability Group of Alterra US Insurance. The Professional Liability Group will include the Executive Liability and Professional Liability underwriting units of Alterra US Insurance.

Dan Gamble, who joined Alterra USA in 2010 as Managing Director, has more than 17 years experience in professional liability underwriting. He was previously Executive Vice President, Executive Assurance with Arch Insurance Group. Prior to joining Arch in 2002, Dan served as an Assistant Vice President in the Financial Institutions underwriting department for Hartford Financial Products Group and as an underwriter for the Financial Institution Group at Gulf Insurance Company. He is a Member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Plymouth State University.
