Product Designed Specifically for the Dually-Registered Investment Advisor
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz), today announced that it has filed a registration statement for a new variable annuity it plans to launch later this year, the Allianz Retirement ProSM Variable Annuity. The annuity is designed specifically for the dually registered investment advisor working within the growing fee-based market. Allianz Retirement Pro is a long-term financial vehicle that will offer low-cost tax deferral, flexible protection and the ability for clients to allocate and transfer money among two accounts depending on their investment objective – the Base Account which offers greater equity exposure through an extensive investment lineup, and the Income Advantage Account which provides income and death benefit guarantees. Launch of the product is subject to receipt of all regulatory approvals.
“There is a growing segment of advisors that are recognizing the benefits that a fee-based annuity will bring to a holistic financial planning practice,” said Robert DeChellis, president and CEO of Allianz Life Financial Services. “We have designed Allianz Retirement Pro to be a solution that advisors will seek to protect their clients from longevity and inflationary risks.”
Allianz Retirement Pro will give clients working with a fee-based advisor a new opportunity to add an insured solution to their portfolio that's specifically designed to help them accumulate, preserve, and distribute their retirement assets.
Variable annuities are subject to investment risk, including possible loss of principal. Investment returns and principal value will fluctuate with market conditions so that units, upon distribution, may be worth more or less than the original cost.
