Allianz Hires Vice President of Profitability Management

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz), a leading provider of annuities and life insurance, has appointed Ross Bowen as the vice president of Profitability Management. In this role, Bowen will responsible for managing and monitoring the profitability of Allianz Life’s in-force block of business, collaborating with the Company’s various financial functions to develop an integrated profitability management strategy.

Bowen brings more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial industries to Allianz. Prior to joining Allianz, he served as vice president of Risk and Value Management for Phoenix Wealth Management in Hartford, Conn., responsible for developing hedging programs and strategic asset allocation of fixed income portfolios. Bowen has also held vice president positions at Conning Asset Management in Hartford and Fortis Advisers in New York City.

Bowen earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and MBA from Carnegie Mellon Business School in Pittsburgh, Pa. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
