Adlib Addresses the “Second Mile” of the Content Capture Space for the Insurance Industry

PR Web

Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) June 17, 2014

Adlib, the industry leader in enterprise-grade document-to-PDF conversion software, is examining the "Second Mile" of the document lifecycle with respect to content capture for the insurance industry. Adlib will bring together industry experts in a live panel discussion at the Microsoft Technology Centre on June 24th to delve into how the capture process can best be optimized through automated document conversion on an enterprise level.

The panel discussion will explore the issues insurance organizations face around content capture, claims management and other document-centric processes, and uncover a number of technology solutions that leading enterprises are deploying today. The panel will consist of independent analyst Harvey Spencer, who specializes in content capture; in addition to Jonathan Spinner, Vice-President of Enterprise Solutions at Aviva Canada; Radu Vaduva, Productivity Architect at Microsoft; and Rupin Mago, Content Rendition Specialist at Adlib. The discussion will be moderated by Scott Mackey, Adlib's Vice President of Customer Success.

"There are a multitude of content capture technologies out there that address the proverbial 'First Mile' and the scanning and ingesting of documents," says Roger Beharry Lall, Director of Product Marketing at Adlib. "However, there is a gap in the market when it comes to the 'Second Mile': taking that scanned content, automatically converting it into a standardized format, and turning it into meaningful, searchable and findable information that insurance organizations can leverage to improve customer experience and enhance claims management processes."

"There is an emphasis on the importance of getting the right information at the time of impact, whether that's for new account on-boarding or when an incident happens and a claim is generated," says capture specialist Harvey Spencer. "This is a critical step for insurance organizations enabling them--through automated capture and ingestion-- to access vital data when and where it's needed now and in the future."

By automating the ingestion, capture, rendering and archiving of unstructured content – images, faxes, scans, forms, text documents, etc. – the customer's experience can be improved, and document-centric processes such as claims management can be optimized. Manual resources spent on understanding, extracting and processing that content can be significantly reduced, as can physical shipping and storage costs incurred through outdated workflows using hardcopy materials. Standardizing documents can also help to improve compliance, records management and case management initiatives within organizations. Meaningful data can be mined to unlock the full value of unstructured content.
