AXA Advisors Awards Top Honor to 100-Year-Old Agent

Theodore Krause, CLU, 100, AXA Advisors' oldest active financial professional, has earned the company's 2011 National Honor Associate Award. This is the highest honor that the firm bestows upon an AXA Advisors financial professional.

The National Honor Associate Award is granted to one financial professional each year that represents the "total professional" - the one who most exemplifies esteemed qualities and attributes of community service, loyalty, leadership and respect. Krause was chosen for this prestigious honor by a committee of peers.

"Even at 100, Ted's dedication to his clients, the profession and his community is unwavering," said Bucky Wright, vice chairman of AXA Advisors. "He is an inspiration and model of professionalism in our business, and a recognized leader in his community."

Krause was born in Philadelphia and became a poultry farmer during the Great Depression. In 1947, he joined AXA Advisors - then known as The Equitable Life Assurance Society of America - as a life insurance agent. Krause has earned numerous awards throughout his career, including the company's President's Cabinet, Hall of Fame, Order of Excalibur, Golden Life and Life Achievement. These honors recognize leadership, sales performance and service. He is also a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table, an international association of leading financial professionals recognized as the standard of excellence in the life insurance industry.

"Ted is a true gentleman, a professional and a role model for many," said David Karr, a divisional executive vice president for AXA Advisors and Krause's manager. "He takes great pride and care in all he does, and continues to serve his clients and his community every single day."

Krause has long been involved in his community. For many years, he was active in his local board of education, raising funds for a new school. He also raised funds for a new synagogue and served as chairman of Beth Israel Congregation, the B'nai B'rith and the United Jewish Appeal.

"I am both honored and humbled to receive this prestigious award," said Krause. "Many factors play a role in an individual's success, and I am grateful to have been surrounded by wonderful people personally and professionally who have helped me achieve this important milestone."

Krause's weekday schedule includes Bible study and a six-lap swim at his local YMCA. He resides in Vineland, N.J, with his 101-year-old wife.
