ACE Names Brad Bennett President of Combined Insurance

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The ACE Group today announced the appointment of Brad Bennett as President of its Combined Insurance Company of America business unit. In this role, Mr. Bennett will lead the agency-based sales arm of ACE’s global personal accident and supplemental health insurance business and will be responsible for all management aspects of this face-to-face insurance business, which has operations in the United States and Canada as well as eight countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America. He will be based in Glenview, Ill., and will report to Ed Clancy, ACE’s Executive Vice President, Global Accident & Health and Life. Mr. Bennett succeeds Douglas Wendt, who is retiring from the company.

Mr. Bennett has more than 25 years of global experience in the insurance industry, initially as a sales agent and then advancing into agency and distribution management and senior leadership roles. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and the Head of Distribution for the Chartis Companies Japan.

Prior to his most recent role, Mr. Bennett was President and CEO of AIG Korea from 2009 to 2011 and President and CEO of AIG General InsuranceMalaysia from 2005 to 2008. Previously, he had responsibility for agent and small broker development for 26 countries as Senior Vice President of Agency and Branch Operations, after serving in a similar role for the Southeast Asia/Greater China region. Mr. Bennett joined AIG in 1995 as Deputy Regional Agency Executive in Thailand, where he developed captive agency models for Southeast Asian countries. Mr. Bennett started his career as an agent with Allstate in the U.S. and held a number of field sales management positions there.
