‘Make A Muscle, Make A Difference’ MDA Of Tampa Bay Announces Annual Muscle Walk Event Presented By APEC

More than 700 people are already registered to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association during the MDA Tampa Bay Muscle Walk presented by APEC to help pay tribute to — and raise funds for — children and adults served by MDA in the Tampa Bay Area.

"We want to encourage people in our area to give back to local families affected by neuromuscular disease," said MDA Executive Director, Erin Authier."By supporting the MDA Muscle Walk event on February 8th, 2014 people can make an immediate difference and help raise awareness and funds for research and vital services benefiting families served by the Association."

The annual MDA Tampa Bay Muscle Walk is scheduled for 8:30am on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Raymond James Stadium.

Expected at the walk are emcees from Q-105 and 98.7 The Fan plus Mr. Shannon Rose, a.k.a. Mr. Hollywood. Many area sponsors will be in attendance including APEC, Geico, Most Insurance Agency, Brown & Brown Insurance, Truly Nolen, Lowe’s, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, Buffalo Wild Wings,RaceTrac and many others.. Tampa Fire Rescue Local #754 is hosting a Fire Truck Pull for Muscle Walk Teams that fundraise $1,000 or more!

Last year, MDA Muscle Walks nationwide raised more than $6.2 million, and more than $10 million has been raised since the program started in 2011.
