One of the most important things a potential employee looks for, aside from salary, is what the company is offering in insurance programs and retirement planning. As a leading insurance producer, you may be wondering how to customize your client’s employee benefits program to cater to the company’s needs. There are many ways to make your client’s program enticing and attractive for its employees.
Below are the top four ways to help your clients customize their group benefits program:
- Health Benefits. Health insurance is one of the main components of a group benefits program that interests a potential employee. Communicate to your client how vital it is that they provide this option to their staff.
- Make it Affordable. Your client may only need to institute this program for five employees. Or they might have hundreds to think about. Remember to ask what they are looking to spend monthly to make them feel comfortable about the program they are creating.
- Dental. Many people include this within health insurance, but having it as a separate entity makes the package look larger and more attractive to the employee.
- Offer More Options. Your client will not think you are being pushy at all. They want to learn about what they can offer to make their potential employees excited about working for their company. Think of recommending workers compensation, disability, retirement plans, accident and life insurance as being included in the customization of the benefits plan.
Helping your clients pick and choose what they want to include in their employee benefits program will ensure that they leave your office satisfied and happy. A comprehensive and affordable group benefits plan will attract potential employees and sweeten the deal when offering positions to qualified candidates.
