Marv Feldman: Still Passionate About Life
It’s Life Insurance Awareness Month, that time each year when the industry makes a special effort to tell the public the story of life insurance products and their role in preserving Americans’ financial future.
Life Happens (formerly the LIFE Foundation) is the organization spearheading this annual consumer outreach effort. In the September issue of InsuranceNewsNet Magazine, we bring you the newest developments from Life Happens from someone who is one of the world’s most passionate advocates for life insurance – Marv Feldman, CEO of Life Happens.
Marv was a successful life insurance agency owner. He could have retired to the golf course when his selling days were over. But that’s not what Marv did. He switched careers at age 60 to head what was then known as the LIFE Foundation. Now his mission is to take the Life Happens message into the digital age and make it even bigger.
I won’t go into the details of how he plans to do that. You’ll have to read the interview. But what struck me about the interview is how Marv is so excited about bringing the latest digital tools to advisors to use in educating prospects and motivating them to buy.
And then there’s Danica Patrick. She’s this year’s celebrity spokesperson for Life Insurance Awareness Month and she brings her family’s own story of how life insurance could have helped them through a difficult time.
Many of our readers are familiar with one of Life Happens’ annual programs surrounding Life Insurance Awareness Month – and that is Real Life Stories. These are stories of advisors like you who helped their clients when they needed it most.
The recipients of the Real Life Stories Client Service Awards are honored each year when the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors holds its annual conference. I’ve attended two of these awards presentations in the past and I’m not exaggerating when I say that everyone in the room was in tears before the event was over. That’s how moving these stories are.
Summer is over, the holidays aren’t here yet, and it’s the perfect time to get prospects’ attention. Read our interview with Marv to get some inspiration, then go out and take advantage of Life Insurance Awareness Month for all it’s worth.
