InsuranceNewsNet and NAILBA to Release Results of Independent Life Brokerage Study
Report will help BGAs gain insights into producer needs and their relationship with BGAs.
November 16, 2015 - InsuranceNewsNet and the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) have partnered on a comprehensive survey of independent insurance producers. The study is designed to examine the relationship between brokerage general agencies (BGAs) and the agents who work in the field.
The goal of the study is to help strengthen the relationship between brokerage general agencies and agents, helping BGAs to get the information they need to work with agents in more productive ways and to strengthen the distribution channel.
The survey, conducted among licensed life and health producers throughout the country delves into issues important to insurance agents and their sales production.
The study closely examines the relationship between agents and their BGAs – including information on how many BGAs producers broker their business through, how long they have worked with their primary BGA, how happy they are with the services being provided by their BGA, and what could motivate agents to work with a BGA they have never worked with before.
The survey results will give BGAs insight into their relationship with agents, help them improve recruitment and retention, and give them insight into what they can do to increase producer sales.
