Symetra Names Michael Derrig Vice President, Chief Underwriter for Individual Life Division

Symetra Life Insurance Company today announced the appointment of Michael Derrig as vice president, chief underwriter, for its Individual Life Division (ILD).

Mr. Derrig brings to his new role 20 years of life industry experience, most recently serving as director and chief underwriter at Equitable (formerly AXA). Derrig previously held senior underwriting positions at Lincoln Financial Group. As a member of Symetra’s ILD leadership team, he will play a key role in driving performance, efficiency, and industry-leading customer service for this rapidly growing business line focused on delivering flexible life insurance solutions.
