General Manager and Vice President Appointments at National Life Group

Montpelier, Vermont — John Blumberg has been appointed General Agent for a new National Life Group agency in Westchester County, New York.

Blumberg previously represented Mass Mutual and Northwestern Mutual Insurance Companies.  He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and holds FINRA registrations 7, 24, 51, 63 and 66.

James Ortenzio has been appointed General Manager of National Life Group’s New Jersey region.

Ortenzio previously worked with MetLife as a Managing Director. While there, his agency led MetLife in virtually all productivity measures in the last three years. He was also one of only two MetLife Managers to qualify for the company’s Management Hall of Fame twice.

Julio Soria has been appointed General Manager of National Life Insurance Company’s South Florida agency.

Prior to joining National Life, Soria served as Agency Director for South Florida with Mass Mutual, where he was consistently recognized as a top performer among his peers. In addition, Soria has held leadership roles at New York Life, Prudential Financial Services and The MONY Group.

Pam Blalock has joined National Life Group’s leadership team as Vice President and Regional Development Officer. She will support the company’s career agencies in Albany and Long Island, New York, Delaware, Atlanta, Georgia, Northern New England, the Pacific Southwest, Southern New England and Virginia to support their growth initiatives.
