Aflac Inc. rose $.67 or 1.1 percent, to $62.08.
American International Group rose $.42 or .8 percent, to $55.01.
MBIA rose $.72 or 6.1 percent, to $12.40.
MGIC Investments Corp. rose $.19 or 2.2 percent, to $8.70.
MetLife rose $1.39 or 2.6 percent, to $54.60.
XL Group PLC rose $.73 or 2.3 percent, to $33.11.
