Investors Preferred Life Insurance Company Names Nikki Pethtel as Its Next President
Sioux Falls, SD – September 12, 2023 – Investors Preferred Life Insurance Company (“IPL” or the “Company”), a premier provider of private placement life insurance and annuities, is pleased to announce that Nikki Pethtel has been named President of IPL. Ms. Pethtel succeeds Tommy Mayes, who will remain on the Board of Directors of IPL.
Founded in 2013, IPL is a bespoke carrier of private placement solutions for wealth preservation planning. The insurance company partners with advisors to create custom, tax-efficient strategies for their clients.

Ms. Pethtel joined IPL in 2016 as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer and has been managing day to day operations for the last three years. She has used her over two decades experience in insurance financial and operating experience to help lead IPL’s rapid growth to become one of the leading providers of private placement solutions in the market.
