Winstead named ‘elite champion’ for Affordable Care Act signups
Wilson Daily Times (NC)
Jan. 17--Wilson insurance agent Alan Winstead of Farm Bureau Insurance has earned an award from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for helping 100 or more consumers enroll in Affordable Care Act health plans.
Winstead received the 2019 Marketplace Elite Circle of Champions designation from CMS' Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight.
"Members of the Elite Circle of Champions are some of the top-performing Marketplace agents and brokers in America," Randy Pate wrote in a letter congratulating recipients of the distinction. "We are continually impressed by the dedication and commitment you show to consumers during the busy open enrollment period."
Winstead was named to the HeathCare.gov Circle of Champions in 2018 for helping individuals and families make between 20 and 99 plan selections. The elite circle recognizes agents and brokers who help 100 or more people sign up for health care coverage.
Roughly 8.5 million Americans signed up for Affordable Care Act plans in the 39 states that use HealthCare.gov before the Dec. 15 open enrollment deadline, down from 8.8 million the previous year.
Winstead's Farm Bureau office is located at 3542 Airport Blvd. NW.
