June 08--WACO Title has received an audit opinion certifying that the company adheres to the American Land Title Association's Best Practices standards.
WACO Title is the first title insurance agency in Arkansas and Missouri to obtain the Best Practices audit certification from an independent auditor, according to a news release.
"The Best Practices audit process is an important step to take in order to independently verify and demonstrate to our customers that WACO Title adheres to the title industry's best practices," said CEO Patrick Curry.
Curry went on to say that while a "Best Practices" audit is not a requirement to do business in markets today, many larger metro areas already require that title companies independently verify their title processes through a Best Practices audit.
Lenders and Realtors who would like a copy of the full audit report to meet their compliance obligations required by CFPB Bulletin 2012-03 may receive one by e-mailing [email protected].
Area businesses can announce relocations, new branches, changed ownership, events and honors from independent organizations by sending information to Times Record Business News, P.O. Box 1359, Fort Smith, AR 72902, or emailing [email protected].
