University of Utah Health Plans Introduces Healthy U CHIP – A Health Insurance Plan for Children

Targeted News Service (Press Releases)

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 11 -- The University of Utah Health issued the following news release:

University of Utah Health Plans announces the launch of its newest health insurance offering: Healthy U CHIP. This plan will be available starting July 1, 2024.

CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program) is a vital state program that provides affordable health coverage to eligible children in low-income families. It ensures that children have access to essential medical services, including preventive care, doctor visits, hospital stays, prescription medications, dental care, and vision services.

"We recognize the impact of accessible health care on children's lives," says Chad Westover, CEO of University of Utah Health Plans. "As the inaugural CHIP director in Utah, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of CHIP on our kids here in Utah and we are proud to be part of it."
